Now, one day after his agent, Don Baizley, said he's very unlikely to return this year, Peter Forsberg may be returning after all.
That is according to Eklund, the host of the site and Anonymous Hockey Blogger. That is not an invite for lunkheads to trash the guy, just referring the name of the report.
Anyhow, I am a Flyers fan, and I kind of was on and off the Forsberg bandwagon. I have stated my reasons elsewhere, and in other My Hockeybuzz blogs. We all knew that there was a possibility he would not return anyhow.
I was fine with any of those scenarios.
However, now, the Foppa Soap Opera has returned. No word on what he will do, changing stories every other day, deadlines passed and re-established, then a seemingly final word...and now, 24 hours later, more second thoughts.
My opinion is that I am off the Forsberg bandwagon, at least as far as the Flyers go. The last thing this struggling team needs is the uncertainty of a Forsberg return, espeically if he is not 100% sure.
That was the qualifier in all this, that he wouldn't return unless he was 100% about the foot. After yesterday, there's no way he can really be certain about that foot. But I am certain about him.
Please, Mr Holmgren, do not follow the course to bring back Forsberg this year.
Here Here! I do not want him back either, JS. SYF
good riddance, no footpa!
honestly who even cares anymore
Stop holding the NHL hostage. Come back or shut the hell up.
That is why forsberg had his agent say it was unlikely so teams would find other options. He is not holding the nhl hostage. The flyers wanted a d man and got him. This team can't score right now and he would make a difference. The only people making it an issue are the fans. If the players are distracted by this this team is in trouble because if you get distracted that easily you aren't that good of a team.
My point is, close the window. Don't have your agent come out and say it's highly unlikely, then 24 hours later say, "Well, there's still a week to the deadline." Simply cut the cord, say yes or no, and stop leaving the door open that little crack.
