You know what I'm talking about.

The game...as it is played today...is largely unwatchable.

A few years back there was this idea that the game should once again be about skating, with skilled players making it exciting to watch.

For a while it worked.

But for the past few years (...at least), the game has become more like a wresting match on skates.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen a player make an illegal interference play before a puck was anywhere near him or the player he was interfering with.

Or, how many times I have seen - professional hockey players - awkwardly fall to the ice...like guys just learning how to skate...as the result of illegal stick or skate moves that result in what looks like a bad video game.

I don't need to even go on...you guys know what I am talking about.

It's pathetic and becoming more unwatchable each day.

Seriously...fix this already.

unwatchable is a huge overstatement imo. but you certainly have a point about obstruction-limiting smaller skilled skaters etc etc.there should be zero tolerance for any type of impeding action.coaches will adjust and find ways to stifle offence, but nonetheless, eliminating all forms of obstruction would be a solid start for the league
