"It's a joke. It's a joke. It's been going on the whole series and the whole playoffs, that's a joke. Not one of those calls whether it was against Anaheim or against Ottawa was a penalty....they were bad calls and it's ridiculous at this point of the season that you have referees making these kind of bad calls....missing dives, making calls that aren't even penalties...Ray, I've had enough."
"It's not so much that you're going to call everything.....a little hook is a hook. Those penalties they're calling are not penalties."
Clement............"We're all in agreement on that one."
No kidding, I cannot beleive I agree with Brett Hull. I have been complaining about the calls all season and not just for or against the Ducks. This is crappy offciating, especially in the playoffs and Stanley Cup Finals! Not to mention the lack of a call against Alfredsson. I truly hope the league will look at this tomorrow and make him sit for game five. But, I have my doubts after all, the series can be decided here in Anaheim. The league wouldn't want to affect that.GO DUCKS!
It much easier to sit on a perch and criticize the refs, than it is to go out on the ice and try to make the calls yourself. Its a tough, rewardless job and I think the refs should be given some slack.
BradleyC4--It's tough to do my job, and that's why they pay me to do it. Likewise, they get paid to be refs--it's not a volunteer thing. They should be the very best at what they do to be officiating at that level and missing blatantly obvious calls is simply no less excusable than calling out a goalie for letting in a soft goal.
Famousjon - Couldn't agree with you more. The officiating in the NHL is a joke has been and joke and probably always will be a joke. This league wants to tell you eveything is just fine and it's not. Viewership is non-existent and the officiating is abysmal and inconsistent.
