Growing up I was addicted to those 60's & 70's Scooby Doo cartoons. The Villains would almost always turn out to be the resident good guy in the episode. At the end the crew would pull the mask off to find out that this good guy was the evil character all along. How fitting, because at the end of last nights Rangers/Penguins game we found out that the possible MVP Malkin good guy is nothing short of Mr.. Karswell " The Creeper"
With not only one but two nasty plays on Paul Mara, the Creeper used his large frame and Slew-Footed Rangers defenseman Paul Mara. The Rangers led by a Messier like performance by their captain Mr. Jagr. I say Mr. because it's just the beginning of how much respect this guy deserves. He gave a memorable speech in the Rangers locker room the other day, ensuring that everyone in that dressing room still believed they had plenty left. Despite 3 straight losses, the Rangers held their own in this series but the Pens were able to get some breaks. As Jagr slipped a nasty short side wrist shot past Fleury ,Orpik flew across the ice and hit him in the head. I wonder if that had been Sid the kid lying their on the ice or none other than the Creeper himself would the reffs dealt a penalty. Shortly later the Creeper would get a chance to scare off the gang at the garden. 18,000 fans watched Mr Karswell skate in on the King to try and tie the game at 1. Malkin's slow intimidating move could be heard from center ice "creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeper",as the monster would shoot into the glove of Lundqvist.
The player who would carry his club on his back for a big part of the season, would show his colors late in the game. He and his Penguins club looked as if a bunch of kids and a few police were on to their scheme,as they became more and more nervous towards the end of the game. They would unravel and start taking cheap shots and the Rangers PP finally made them pay. Maybe they are the ones on their heals now as their master plan could be coming to an end. Just before the final whistle Mara would pull the Mask or helmet off the Creeper to show that this good guy is a dirty nasty player. The Slew-footer with a face no other than the Creeper ,Mr. Malkin.
Look at the stunning resemblance

THE RANGERS ARE COMING FOR YOU!
no matter how talented you are, this has no place in the game.
Do yourself a favor Phi and take advantage of those links.
Cap i looked at them...very funny if you ask me...and i can't beleive he thinks he needs to wear a shield...LOL
His chin is humongous.
Again, just another dangerous play that needs to be more severly punished. I don't think Malkin is exactly a routinely dirty player, and if you want to argue that he is, there have been are still are plenty of talented and dirty/chippy players. Forsberg, Briere, etc. I can't say I saw anything wrong with the hit on Jagr. Not from behind, elbows
I got ya RW,but there is still that lack of respect from the league when it comes to Jagr. This is a player who the NHL had made tons of $ off of for over a decade and we watched him lay on the ice for 5 mins. I hope he gets his revenge
I hate that the star players are "untouchable". If anything they should be targeted with clean hard hits (part of why they're so good is how quick and agile many are). What DE doesn't try to get a clean shot at the QB to knock him out of the game? Same thing here, but you often see guys ease up or peel away from some stars. Jagr got his bell rung and maybe the wind knocked out of him. He's 6'3" 235, he can take a clean hit. He won't take revenge someone else will for him.
Yeah, this may be the grittiest we've ever seen him play. But for revenge a hat trick in game 5 would get the blood going.
the hit on jagr was clean other then he scored a goal, so no hit should've come since the red light was on...
Come on phi1671. You expect in a split second Orpik to hold up? What, you're not allowed to hit a guy right as he takes a shot, in case he scores? Please.
Leave Orpik alone! I want Slats to sign him in July :P
Pwoz, I think they may. Wrote about it the other day ,he the perfect insurance policy for Sanguinetti/Redden.
Orpik to Buffalo to play with his brother once he makes the team. Home-town discount. Hey, I can dream, right?
Buffalo is a great club. Good young players and one of my favorites in Miller. I wonder if Orpik may like the idea better of playing at the Garden with a goaltender locked up for the next six years. He's also getting a taste of the Playoffs in NY. I hope for your sake Miller gets his well deserved extension and the Sabres finally give there fans/players thier due.
Very funny blog. Zoinks!
As to the face shield, it's hard to blame him when Richards is out there kicking hi in the face. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsRaBdKs3Xk
