This has been a fun debate for the past few months. I know a lot of people say things out of anger but really don't mean what they say. So, what do you really mean? Let's find out how many people support Quinn for the actions he has done this past off season with the Sabres.
I could show a lot of facts that might sway someone's decision a certain way, but that's not right to do. So with that being said. Say what you mean.
So let's finalize the question.
Should Quinn get put out of Buffalo? Yes or No.
Let us know what you really think also with more than just a yes or no.
I will chime in after a few.
Cheers!
He should leave yesterday! Actually he is going to leave as soon as the Bass Pro store is open for business. So he should have a job for the next ten years.
YES, Quinn is useless, he doesn't want to spend money and won't let Darcy make any decisions. If Quinn wasn't here Drury would still be here and we would have the same money left b/c we would have jumped on Vanek and not let someone else decide what we should pay for him. FIRE QUINN!!!!!
I think Quinn has made Darcy (Well Darcy has made himself look like this by allowing it) look like a puppet. I think it's very unprofessional for Quinn to allow Darcy to get the comments he does when Darcy had nothing to do with the letting go of Drury or Briere. I don't know what is on Quinn's Agenda but I think it's time to move him out and get someone who cares into the slot. I am sorry but Darcy should not take the heat from Quinn. Granted Darcy has his own mistakes he makes, it's not as many as it seems to be that should be weighed on his shoulders. I vote: Yes
I've wondered why Quinn didn't resign Drury and Vanek sooner. I know there were offers/discussions made about Drury and Briere, but why didn't they follow up on it during the extremely successful season? (Not trolling, I'm just curious).
They like to say that they don't do business during the season and to focus on hockey... well to me hockey is the business so what is the point of saying that in the first place? You know? There has been word spread around that Drury had a contract ready to go... and they never faxed it to him to re-sign... and Briere got a slap in the face when they really didn't offer him anything at all. The original offer was 5 years 25 million and he would of taken it... but guess who messed that all up?I am over the situation because I am still happy with the team we have. If it continues to happen where decisions aren't being made that everyone knows should be done, then someone better be paying the price, and it shouldn't be the fans either.
I have mixed feelings on this only because Quinn is good from a business standpoint but makes poor hockey decisions at times. I can see why people want him out of town but it is unfair to say he has done nothing positive for Buffalo.
This was a mockery of an offseason for the Sabres. Even with payroll going up they look like fools and I believe Quinn is at the heart of the problem. I'm curious to know if it was his decision to wack the scouting department. We'll find out in a few years how good of a decision that was. Also, since I don't know who is at fault, I will place blame on him for the slug.
I agree.... our scouting department was I think the best in the league.
