I think it would be fun to get together with the Buffalo fans from this site in a offical bar/restaurant Hockey Buzz get together. It would be the place where other HB posters/bloggers could get together if they're not going to that particular game (or an away game) and just hang out and watch some hockey. Bring whoever you want with you that you usually get together with to watch the games. I think it would be fun to have a nice crowd for most of the games. I would assume it would be more of a weekend thing than anything though.

If this actually would work, where would you think would be the best place to go for that? If something can actually be brought up and worked upon, I could call some owners of restaurants that I know and possibly get a deal on the night for us.

Here's some ideas that I'll fling around:

1.) St. James Place

2.) The Duece (It's on Sheridan before Niagara falls Blvd if you're heading to Amherst)

If you have any other ideas, I think this would be pretty fun to do.

Cheers!

Id LOVE to meet you guys. I admit Id be somewhat ashamed to ackowledge who I am because of some of my past antics. My favorite places are Tony Romes on Union (by the 400 exit) and Duffs on Orchard Park and Union.

What would be a good middle ground for everyone including south towns?

no where is great for all people, which is why this idea hasn't been successfully completed. No one wants to drive far from their houses. Take it from a guy that has been on this board as long as me...it is too hard to accomplish, because either no one wants to drive far, or they are too young to get into a bar. That being said, The Deuce is a great place for games. But the best place to meet neutrally is in downtown Buffalo, Any of those bars on the Chip Strip will suffice.

Yeah, well if not all can show up, least the majority could at a designated place. It doesn't have to be the same either. Some days we can go to one place which is more accessible for some, and then switch it up at times so some people don't have to drive very far. I agree though, Downtown would be a nice neutral place. The Crocodile is ok to have people go to as long as it's not completely packed to the wall.
