The San Jose Sharks are coming off one of their most complete performances of the season. You can almost feel the team beginning to change, turn things around if you will, since JR reached 500. Playing 3 games against the Coyotes in the last week has not been a bad thing either.
The Sharks head to Dallas tonight. The Stars are coming off losses to Phoenix and Los Angeles. Marty Turco was lit up for 4 goals in the last 7 1/2 minutes of the third period that allowed the Kings to tie the Game and send it to overtime, where Kopitar would score at 2:34 into overtime to complete the amazing comeback. Turco gave up 5 goals on the last 6 shots of the game, that may be hard to shake off. Dallas also saw GM Doug Armstrong fired yesterday and Brett Hull and Les Jackson were named co interim GM's. Dallas has been a strong regular season team for the last decade but the team has only managed one trip to the second round of the playoffs in it's last four visits. Captain Brenden Morrow was not exactly surprised he said a change was imminent. They look to start something new tonight as they play host to the Sharks.
San Jose is coming off 2 very strong wins against Phoenix. Goalie Evgeni Nabokov
only allowed one goal in the two games. Saturday the Sharks took the game 4-1 and Monday night the team enjoyed a 5-0 dismantling of the Yotes were things got very chippy. Looking to string together 3 wins for the first time this season, San Jose will have to as good as they were Monday. Dallas Stars goalie has had much success against the Sharks and will look to bounce back tonight. Evgeni Nabokov has not had much success against the Stars with only 7 wins in 27 lifetime starts against the team. Nabokov has started every Sharks game this season and may finally get a break in the next game against the Coyotes, again, although it has not been confirmed. Milan Michalek is listed as day to day and may be game time decision.
My Keys to the Game.......
*Keep an eye on Morrow he has been great so far this season. Limit his chances and keep pressure on him.
*Get to Turco early. Lots of Shots and traffic. A couple of early goals will rattle him after his last 2 games.
*Defense must keep up the strong play! San Jose is not 2nd in the league in goals against just because of Nabokov. This Defense that everyone knocks is actually pretty damn good! Continue to force guys to the outside and make sur to clear the puck when trying to clear the puck!
Thanks for reading and enjoy tonights game! GO SHARKS !

good read, looking forward to receiving updates on my cell phone during class.
The only problem with Marleau is that he is hesitant to shoot the puck.
