That quote comes from another obvious thug, Vancouver Canucks forward Alex Burrows. It was his response to the fierce slash he made on the back of Dallas Stars forward Brendan Morrow's knee, in the final minutes of game 6. The slash caused a twinge in a nerve and caused Morrow to limp off the ice and miss the rest of the game. I'm just curious why Burrows would be so open and cocky about the fact that he would slash another player, at any time, with the intent to hurt them. Last time I checked, slashing was a penalty; therefore, he is admitting to everyone that he has no problem taking a penalty, at any time, even if it might hurt another player. This is yet another example of the lack of respect from way to many players in the league. It is a major black-eye for the sport and must be addressed. With all of the intent to injure this year, I think the league should have few excuses not to follow up on this moronic comment, from a classless punk. I really hope Steve Ott gets a chance to exact retribution with his fists...but I'm sure Burrows the coward will find a way to stay off the ice when Ott is on it!
Step up NHL...it is time to make a stand...not just on Burrows, but all of the thugs that have no respect for other players or the game!
