Two quick questions. I don't have a prize but for fun let's pretend that the person who gets them both right the fastest gets season tickets for life to the NHL team of their choice! (for the sake of competition don't go running to TSN or NHL.com to get the answer!)
What team leads the NHL in goals?
What team has allowed the fewest goals?
(Insert Jeopardy music here)
And.....GO!
(note: these are for all games through November 26th...not all teams have played the same amount of games. Just looking for the leading teams regardless of games played...was that a hint? Who knows!)
I believe the Blues have allowed the fewest goals.
I believe that Carolina is leading the pack. I think Ottawa is close too.
hmmm....my guess would be Rangers for fewest, Toronto for the most?
remember - to win the 'season tickets' you need to get BOTH questions right.
I agree with bleeding blue, Im pretty sure i read something not long ago saying that Legace wasn't given enough credit cause his team had the lowest GA. So id say blues for lowest...(my second guess is Rangers) ...and the Hurricanes for the most. They have like 5 players with over a point per game.
You guys are close...but no cigar!
OTTAWA LEADS THE LEAGUE IN GOALS FOR. ST. LOUIS LEADS THE LEAGUE IN GOALS AGAINST
nope...sorry REDWINGMAN
Isles with fewest?
And I'd guess Carolina with most
might be Tampa too? Hmm, I'll stick with Carolina though
Oops on the fewest allowed...I'd guess the Rags then
No one has both of them right yet! (thanks for not cheating by the way...makes it much more fun!)
Blues fewest allowed/Carolina most scored
Most scored: CarolinaLeast allowed: Ottawa
Columbus lowest
Carolina the most
Bleedin' Blue WINS! Too bad I actually don't have a prize! The St. Louis Blues have allowed the fewest goals (46) while the Hurricanes have scored the most (80). The Rangers are right behind the Blues with 47 goals and have played three more games. Detroit is runner up in goals for with 76. No one would have predicted the Blues to be there for sure...Legace is playing some inspired hockey!
Slow day at the office pj? BTW, was just reading over comments and it appears that mikelong11 is the one who first correctly answered both. BB got one and then came back after ml11 for second answer. Distribute the points on that one.
Great idea for a blog. I can't believe the Blues and Canes lead their respective categories. Brind'amour is on my fantasy team, and he's been on a freaking offensive rampage this year.
