Flyers Hall of Fame snubs

Fred Shero should be a Hall of Fame Coach. Read the article he was truly a pioneer of coaching in the NHL. The only reason I see him excluded is because he was the coach of the Broad Street Bullies. If he won those titles with the New York Rangers he would have been inducted decades ago.

A second snub is Brian Propp. He played over 1000 games, scored over 1000 points in the NHL, and played in the Stanley Cup Finals 5 times. This guy was a clutch and still leads the NHL for most points in the playoffs of all left wings. Look up his stats, they are better than many Hall of Famers.

Shero, I'll give you. The fact that he's not in the Hall is both astounding and ridiculous. But Propp was, at best, an above-average player whose numbers, while more than respectable, pale in comparison to the elite players of his day.

Shero certainly belongs. Biggest Flyers snub as a player? Hands down Mark Howe.

Propp above average. Name me a left wing from his era. It doesn't matter which one you pick, Propp outscored them during the playoffs. Let me say this again. The highest scoring left wing of all time in the Stanley Cup playoffs is Brian Propp. Not Jari Kurri or Dino Ciccerelli - Brian Propp!

I agree that Mark Howe was a dominant player and belongs. I am very disappointed that the only Flyers in the HHOF are Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber, and Bernie Parent. For one of the franchises with the best winning percentage, there sure are a lack of Flyers in the HHOF.

"Kurri = right wing.And Propp had 64 goals and 84 assists totaling for 148 points in 160 playoff games.Kurri had 106 goals 127 assists 233 points in 200 playoff games... he's in entirely different class.

The Flyers have been a very succesful team because the parts worked well together. The thing that hurts Propp as a HOFer-is the lack of scoring compared to the Kurris, Robitailles and others of his era. But that's probably more due to the depth of his team and the style they played than his level of ability. To me, if Clarke Gillies is a HOFer, then Propp is, too.

i have to agree, if clarke Gillies made it so should Propp. Gillies after looking ar his stats to me is no where close to being in the HOF
