It was quite a tragic story. The biggest and strongest boat ever made set sail. It was said to be unsinkable, a feat that would be revolutionary in the industry of shipping. The inside was a luxurious as the outside was beastly, its many ballrooms, dining rooms and beautiful cabins making it quite a piece of work. There was no doubt that this journey would be a one of great importance. It was, albeit in a different way than expected. The boat struck an iceberg and the ship was destroyed. There is no need for me to draw the parallels between this story and the season of the Rangers. The heralded arrival of new, revolutionary parts in Drury and Gomez. The experienced work of Jagr, Straka and Shanahan. And the blazing inferno engine that is Henrik Lundqvist. But under the leadership of Captains Tom Renney and Jaromir Jagr, this Rangers Titanic slammed directly into the iceberg of adversity. And it could not hold up as advertised.
im saving the lifeboats for staal, dubi, prucha, dawes, henrik, girardi, gomez, drury, and betts
hey alex, great article ,too bad it wasnt under happier circumstances. i really mean it when i say i feel terrible for you.dont forget what i said about being streaky cuz there are still glimmers of hope which a true hockeyfan like yourself should hold onto till all is lost.im really fellin for you and i agree to save the lifeboats for all mentioned above!and screw jagr!!!! and fire renney!!!
I'm still holding out for 7th place in the east, to face the Devs in an epic post season battle. Rangers in 6...obviously...haha
Malik(first and foremost), Mara and Rosival are the very big problems for the Rangers. The others will work themselves out. Until they replace at least two of the three it will be a miracle if they make the playoffs. Their total lack of defensive skills, numerous turnovers get the forwards running around and not in better positions for offense... making them look worse then they are when scoring is not there... and boy is it not there.Just ask Mike Richter and Dan Blackburn why they were forced to retire way too soon. They won't tell you the real reason, but it's because they were left alone back there and smacked into way too often. It's time management gets their heads out of their rear-ends and address the lack of studs on the blueline for the past 15 years - makes you miss Beukeboom(Girardi and Tyutin are a start). Unless you have mad offensive skills like the greatest Ranger ever(Leetch) and Zubov for that matter, if you are a d-man you better know how to play like one. This is the only solution.
You hope that Sather will call for rescue Ships early. But Nose said it right the Rangers Defense is giving up too many turnovers and breaking down. If Nashville wants Jagr ,move him. Give us back another D-man. As for Zubov, maybe one of the most underrated players of all time!
