While some celebrate Columbus Day, where he discovered the Americas in 1492. Well, he didn't really. The Vikings and even the Chinese actually might have found these lands long before. But, what is more important is that in 2007-2008 season, the NY Islanders found their first line and some offensive threat.

While Columbus had the big three of the Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria, the Islanders their big three in:

Bill Guerin, Mike Comrie, and Ruslan Fedotenko

The second line of Josef Vasicek and Miroslav Satan will be joined by Jeff Tambellini who was called up on an emergency basis as Jon Sim gets his knee evaluated today. We shall see if Tambs learned a hard lesson in producing and giving all game in and game out, as he was sent down previously for.

Andy Hilbert, despite Nolan's good words after the game on Saturday about his forechecking, is on the 3rd line, where he should fit right in with Hunter and Sillinger.

Stat to Watch:
Sean Bergenheim logged only just above 3 minutes in Saturday's game.

Today's game is at 2pm, and will have their hands full with Alex Ovechkin who has tallied 2 pts. Tom Poti and Viktor Kozlov will say hi to the boys. Poti has yet to get a point. Kozlov has 2, and been used on the top line.
