A rumor came by this weekend that the Columbus Blue Jackets could be looking into acquiring winger Loui Eriksson from the Boston Bruins as he appears to be pricing himself out of Beantown. His price tag is one hard to grab as it varies between one of two things.
One day, it is a first round pick; next is a top four defenseman. If Boston truly wants a first round pick for Loui, the Bruins won't be getting the first overall pick for him. As for a top four defenseman, it depends on who they want. Fedor Tyutin is out there, and do the Bruins want a defenseman on the decline for a forward on the decline. The Jackets also have Jack Johnson, but I keep hearing he's not on the market, though I have heard him connected to Pittsburgh in the past.
If I was Columbus, I would be in sell mode at this point, but not to the point of a full rebuild as this team has plenty of prime pieces that are looking to win now and have a great amount of prospects courtesy of Jackets' GM.
