The road trip continues for the Columbus Blue Jackets, but they are closer to home now. Tonight will be a goalie battle between Columbus and the New Jersey Devils in Newark, New Jersey. The Jackets have not had much success at the Rock (Prudential Center), and only won once in that arena in franchise history (and that was last season).
The Devils are a very different team this year than last. The Iron Fist (Lou) became the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Devils bought out Danius Zubrus; let UFAs Mark Fraser (Ottawa), Scott Gomez (STL), and Peter Harrold (STL). They hired Ray Shero as their GM, and he hired John Hynes as head coach, and brought in Scott Clemensen as goalie coach after retirement. Shero acquired Kyle Palemri from Anaheim and Bryan O'Neill from Los Angeles; and signed players including Jiri Tlusty, John Moore, David Schlemko, and Lee Stempniak. In terms of their lineup, Ryan Clowe has been dealing with concussion issues and may be on the verge of retirement. It came out yesterday that Tuomo Ruutu is out with a broken foot and will be out several weeks.
As for the Columbus Blue Jackets, the lineups are similar to how they were on Saturday. Ryan Johansen is missing his second straight game with an illness. Also, Sergei Bobrovsky is back between the pipes for the Jackets.

Players to Watch
Columbus: David Clarkson. The ex-Devil is back in his home arena, where he scored 30 goals in the past. Let's see if he can produce tonight.
New Jersey: Travis Zajac. With all the trade rumors surrounding him, it's do or die for Zajac.
Enjoy the games tonight. More to come.
