The road trip continues in Denver with a catch. Ryan Johansen will be out of the lineup due to an illness, which means other players will be seeing more ice time- primarily the centers of the club.
The Jackets come into this game winless and have different lineups because of Joey's illness. Tonight, Rene Borque is in.
As for the Colorado Avalanche, this is the first time these teams meet, and there a couple changes to this team. Ryan O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn are in Buffalo, and Stefan Elliot is in Arizona. The Avs brought in Carl Soderberg from Boston; Blake Comeau from Pittsburgh; Francois Beauchmin from Anaheim; Mikhail Grigorenko, J.T. Compher, and Nikita Zadorov from Buffalo; and Brandon Gromley from Arizona.

Things to Watch:
1. Brandon Saad. It's a western conference team Saad used to play often, so expect him to break out.
2. Nathan Mackinnon. The youngster is playing on the second line, which means less competition for the former number one pick.
3. Hunger. With John Tortorella coaching his second game as a Blue Jacket, expect the Jackets roster to get Tort's attention.
Enjoy the games tonight. More to come...
