What a victory for the home team last night. The Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the St. Louis Blues by a final score of 3-1. This improved the Jackets record to 7-12-0. The Blues record sticks at 12-6-1.
For the Blues, their only goal scorer was Kevin Shattenkirk. Other players that got points include Magnus Paajarvi and Dmitri Jaskin. My player to watch, Colton Parayko was a healthy scratch (surprisingly, I heard he was going to be in the lineup). Brian Elliot stopped 35 of 37 for a 0.946 save percentage (94.6%).
For the Blue Jackets, they got two goals from Brandon Saad, and one from Cody Goloubef. Other players with points include Ryan Johansen, Ryan Murray, Cam Atkinson, Kerby Rychel, and Gregory Campbell. Jared Boll, my player to watch, played his 500th NHL game last night, and was a +1 playing 7 minutes. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 19 of 20 shots for a 0.950 save percentage (95%).
If you didn't check the replays all over the place, Jori Lethera was cut in the neck by Brandon Saad. He left the game and was taken to a hospital. All the best for Lethera.
