With Auston Matthews and Patrik Laine going one and two respectively, Columbus had the rest of the deck to draft whoever they wanted. The best player available according to many was Jesse Puljujarvi. Jarmo Kekalainen went with his list, which was a major off the grid move to acquire a center.
On his 18th birthday, a life changing move happened to Pierre-Luc Dubois by becoming a Columbus Blue Jacket. The Jackets acquire their new number one center. Dubois played with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles this year, and had 99 points in 62 games. He also takes penalties showing he is not afraid to make mistakes even though it may cost his team.
He is the second highest drafted Screaming Eagle ever drafted to Marc-Andre Fleury. Congrats and welcome PLD.
What are your thoughts on Pierre-Luc Dubois being selected by Columbus third overall?
