The Sharks got two goals in the first period to make Columbus come back and battle later on in the game. Mikkel Boedker got his first goal as a Shark; Logan Couture and Brenden Dillon had the assists. Later on in the period, Joel Ward netted his first of the season. Brent Burns and Chris Tierney had the assists. In the dying seconds of the game, Patrick Marleau had an empty net goal; Brent Burns and Marc-Edouard Vlasic had the assists.
