Happy November everyone. A 0.500 October brings to a fresh start a new month of hockey as the Jackets take on the injury riddled Dallas Stars. The two teams played a couple weeks ago, and the final score of was a 3-0 shutout for the Jackets. Josh Anderson; Scott Hartnell; and Matt Calvert had the goals.
The Stars have the most injury crippled roster in the entire league. They had Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin sustain off-season injuries and not play for Team Canada in the World Cup. Ales Hemsky sustained a now season ending injury that requires surgery from the World Cup. Mattais Janmark is expected out most of the year with a knee injury. Cody Eakin is still a couple weeks away according to Lindy Ruff. Patrick Sharp is still out with a concussion from earlier in the season. Jason Spezza ans Jiri Hudler recently returned after injuries, and Dan Hamhius is expected back in the lineup after being scratched last game.
The Blue Jackets continue to juggle the offensive lines around to find offensive scoring. Scott Hartnell and Sam Gagner are on the fourth line; Cam Atkinson is on the third line; and Josh Anderson is on the second line. And David Savard is the number six defenseman tonight. Unreal.
