The Jackets have failed the season sweep to the New Jersey Devils, losing to them in the Rock by a final score of 2-1.
The Devils' goals came during the odd numbered periods of the game. In the first period, Reid Boucher scored his 7th goal of the season; Kyle Palmieri and Andy Greene had the assists. In the final frame, Devante Smith-Pelly scored his 13th goal of the year; Adam Larsson had the lone assist. Scott Wedgewood made his NHL debut, and held the Jackets off for one goal against on 28 shots for a 0.964 save percentage (96.4%)
Columbus got their lone goal in the second period from Jared Boll for his first of the season. Gregory Campbell and Dalton Prout had the assists. Joonas Korpisalo made his first start since his recall from the AHL, and he allowed 2 goals on 22 shots faced for a 0.909 save percentage (90.9%)
