The Blue Jackets are staying at home to battle the Washington Capitals. The Jackets are well rested after taking a couple days off, even after a late win to the Avs. They also got their number one goalie back in the pipes, Sergei Bobrovsky, after missing near 20 games with a groin injury. The Caps just got Mike Richards into the fray, but lost Brayden Holtby to dehydration; and they played back to back games this weekend, and beat the Rangers, but not the Sabres.
In terms of the lineups:
John Tortorella will have to make line changes due to the absences of Scott Hartnell, Fedor Tyutin, and David Savard. Savard is out long term, but the other two are healthy scratches. Bobs is back as well. The Jackets are using rookie Markus Hannikanen, who came off IR the same time as Sergei; and Dalton Prout tonight.
For Washington, they are still without John Carlson and Brooks Orpik on the backend, and Jay Beagle upfront. Holtby is in between the pipes tonight.
