The Blue Jackets are in Beantown tonight to take on Boston, which is also the first game of back to back match ups for the Blue Jackets. The Jackets are well rested, playing lost on Friday in a loss to the youthful Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins last played Saturday and whooped the Dallas Stars in their building.
These two teams played last week, and it resulted in a 3-2 overtime loss to Columbus. Boston got their regulation goal from Patrice Bergeron in the first period. He was a game-time decision for the B's last evening. His goal was his 22nd on the year, and was unassisted. 33 seconds into overtime, Loui Eriksson netted the game-winning goal. It was his 20th of the year. Torey Krug, the former Spartan, and David Krejci has the helpers. Tukka Rask was my player to watch, and he stopped 28 of 29 shots. Columbus got their lone goal on the penalty shot in the first period from Alex Wennberg. Brandon Dubinsky was my player to watch last night, and he had 7 hits and played 21 minutes. Jonas Korpisalo allowed 2 goals on 30 shots against.
Looking at team stats, Boston's top two point producers are there top two centers- Patrice Bergeon (50) and David Krejci (47). For Columbus, there is a three way tie for first with 37 points- Brandon Saad, Cam Atkinson, and Scott Hartnell.
In terms of the goalie matchup, the Monster- Joonas Gustavsson is in for the B's; Joonas Korpisalo is in for Columbus.

Players to Watch
Columbus: Scotty. This may be one of his last games in a Columbus jersey, and since he is one of the team's top producers, it makes sense for him to be in the spotlight. Being a bit Flyers fan since a kid, he was one of my favorite players to watch because he can score and stand up for teammates.
Boston: Big Z. Even though he is on the decline of his career, Zdeno Chara is still a feared player in the league for his size and shooting ability. How hard will he shoot tonight?
Enjoy the games tonight. More to come…
