Last night, the Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the Boston Bruins by a final score of 6-4.
The Bruins first goal came 15 seconds after the Jackets scored the first goal of the game. 11 minutes and 7 seconds into the game, Loui Eriksson scored his 22nd of the year, with helpers by Torey Krug and David Pastrnak. In the second frame, Matt Belesky scored his 10th of the season 2:57 into the frame. Joe Morrow and Jimmy Hayes had assists on the goal. Columbus got the first goal of the game, and it came from Boone Jenner. The tally came 10:52 into the game. The goal was his 20th of the campaign, and Cam Atkinson and Ryan Murray had the assists. In a three goal second frame for the Jackets, Boone Jenner scored yet again, but this time, it was 21 seconds into the period. It was his 21st of the season. Seth Jones and Brandon Dubinsky earned helpers. Ten minutes later, William Karlsson scored an unassisted goal, which was his 8th of the season. Seven minutes later, Scott Hartnell scored his 19th of the year. Ryan Murray had another assist and Alex Wennberg had his first of the year. In the third period, Brandon Saad scored his 22nd of the year with 6 minutes left in the game. Hartnell (my player to watch) and Wennberg had assists on Saad's goal. 3 minutes later, Dalton Prout scored his second goal of the year on an empty net. Joonas Korpisalo made 26 saves on 30 shots against for a 0.867 save percentage (86.7%).
