Pat Maroon had a hat trick the final goal being an empty netter. He was also the game's first star.

It initially looked as if the Phantoms were going to run away with this game. Then the B Sens changed goalies and it shifted the momentum but not for very long. Phantoms stayed with it and gave Munroe some insurance.
