Shout out to everyone I saw tonight; Theresa, Brooke, Karen, Rad and of course the old friends I ran into by chance.
Thank you again to Kristin! It was a bad game but it was still fun hanging out.
Ok Flyers faithful I am to blame for tonight's loss. I had a series of things I tried all the same night that the effect caused a jinx and the loss of the game.
I ordered my playoff tickets, wore my Free Downie Shirt, and stood in a brand new spot for Warmups. I will not be attending Saturdays game that I know of so Saturday should be a better outing.
The first period was pretty physical. The Rangers got both goals but it seemed like the Flyers were prepared to scrap til the end.
Intermission I went to get dinner ran into someone, I couldn't tell the last time I saw them, talked for 10 min got dinner and stood to go down the steps. I look at the score boards and was like holy bleep what happened?
I sit next to Krisitn and ask um so what happened? I was told I didn't want to know I just asked when exactly Biron was put in 3rd or 4th goal. I was told 4th.
I sigh. I eat and take out my camera cause I figure it is going to be a long night take as many pics as possible.
Intermission went to the concourse and talked to folks. Came back to the seats.
Everyone is so dejected at the game.
The only line that seems to have really good pressure is Richards line. The third period is again played at the other end of the ice and the prospects look really bleak.
The last two min of the game have the most opportunities. Flyers went from 13 shots on goal to 20.
The three stars for tonight one players was sorely overlooked the winning shutout goaltender.
So that is the story folks not much to see here.
that might have been one of the worst performances ive seen this year. and id say richards looked like crap last night. hartnell did look good, and downie was his normall fireball self. but the best line was the kappy - cote - dowd line. sad really. about the best parts of the game had to do with fights in the stands that led to rangers fans being thrown out.
Hopefully they won't treat Saturday like another scrimmage.
Honestly, the way the Flyers played, Valiquette didn't deserve a star. He got the shutout, but he really didn't have to EARN it. Bad on the Flyers for that.
Our D showed up.. weeeeee!
I was disgusted by the NJ loss, but this was even worse. At least Jersey wasn't second last in the Atlantic, and we smoked them 6-2 at MSG. This should be yet ANOTHER wake up call for the Orange and Black. How many is this team gonna need before they start playing well on a consistent basis?
