Flames News

Last Night Daryl Sutter traded Ollie Jokinen and Brandon Prust for Ales Kotalik and Chris Higgins, upsetting Flames fans because now we can't bug Olier fans about having a player names alice...er...ales.

>>>>>

The broad side of the barn is upset with Adam Pardy after missing the net last night on a short handed chance five feet in front of the netting claiming, "... you know...we worked and we worked ...and finally he hit me once and I thought he was finally going to hit the net...". In other news a blind guy hit the net from five feet away.

>>>>>

The Flames were in talks with Sleep-aid to become a major sponsor however talks fell through when the Flames played and everyone fell asleep anyway.

>>>>>

Backlund sat out last night and got to take the game in from the press box, since coming into the line up the young center had seen the team actually win and get road points in the shoot out. Brent Sutter made the decision to sit Backlund after realizing he was a skilled centerman and this team didn't need, "one of those".

>>>>>

Sheldon Souray broke his hand fighting with Iginla...hilarious.

>>>>>

Ollie Jokinen, upset with being traded claimed,"it's a slap in the face...being traded." Respectfully Mr. Jokinen, giving a guy $500,000.00 a goal is a slap in the face...a slap right to the handlebar mustache.

these flames have extracted any joy i've had from watching hockey. I can count on one finger the number of games in the last 2 months that I've actually watched the game from start to finish and enjoyed.

As an Oiler fan, you're welcome for that one game you were able to enjoy from start to finish :)
