Separated at Birth?

Posted 12:29 PM ET | Comments 1
Every once in a while you see a photo and you think...man, I have seen that person before. When you put the face with the other photo and you get that lightbulb moment...you have "Separated at Birth?"

For example....let's start with Wade Belak, since everything is his fault anyway.

Leafs enforcer and tough guy, Wade Belak and movie star tough guy, Dolph Lundgren.

Easy enough, eh?

Moving on...

Ok, an easy target I admit...but I had to do it.

Kinda frightening, isn't it?

Jesse Boulerice has made his bed...

and now it's time to lie in it. What he did was pure cowardice. As someone with prior "intent to injure" issues, he deserves at least 20.

For those who have not seen much of Anze Kopitar, here is his "Separated at Birth"

This 6'4", 220lb runaway freight train is the first Slovinian to play in the NHL, and given his speed, size and skill, I am sure many scouts are out beating the bushes in the former Yugoslovia as we speak.

Danny Briere is turning heads in Philadelphia and proving that not all high-priced free agent centers were a bust.

Briere is hoping that by the time Spring rolls around and the Flyers are ready for the playoffs, he will continue to be playing like the second picture from "American Werewolf in London" and be feeling and looking like Chuck with his playoff beard by the time the first round rolls around.

Ok..moving on to hair:

What would a conversation about hair be without "The Man with the Golden Mullet", Barry Melrose and former Penguin star now Ranger, Jaromir Jagr? Toss in bizarro rocker, Frank Zappa and a Raccoon Toq and they are all "Separated at Birth."

Next we have current Flyer Defenseman, Kimmo Timonen, former Flyer forward, Jeremy Roenick and insterstellar flyer, Starfleet Captain, James T. Kirk

Habs goalie sensation, Carey Price, St. Patrick and "the big Guy"

Well...Price has a little ways to go yet...but then it is Montreal.

OK one last shot at these two - Campbell, Bettman and Gilligan's Island

Is Gary Bettman's secret nickname, "Little Buddy"? Inquiring minds want to know...

Lastly, our own "Fearless Leader":
Ek's famous shadow, the blue dot for TV, The Commissioner's hat and HB

No separation there.

Speaking of separation...these two clips just show the amazing separation Danny Briere gets on his first step and what he does with the puck when in on the break. This guy is flat out amazing and I really feel for my Buffalo brethren who had to say goodbye to him. He is something special.

Sit back and enjoy...(click on link then click again to open the NHL video portal)
