(forgive the non-hockey post my puckhead bretheren)
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Been a long time....since 1980. I wasn't sure I was going to see one anytime soon. I was 12 when they last won it and will never forget Tug McGraw slapping the mitt on his leg as the city went into pandemonium.
Fast forward to Brad Lidge as he strikes out Hinske to end the game and drop to his knees in utter disbelief. Wow. I am speechless. What an amazing feeling. I can now understand how Wings fans feel. What's more, I want this for my hockey team. Now the bar has been raised in Philadelphia and it is up to the other teams to step up and keep this vibe rolling. As fine as this is and as much as I love baseball, I want this a hundred times more for my Flyers.
Just heard the Harry Callas call - just magical. I have goosebumps. There is going to be one hell of a parade here in this town. I will surely be there.
Man, do I want to feel this for my hockey team. I am sure Mr. Snider is smiling now that he knows the mantle has been passed to him and it is his burden now.
Hey you! Don't help them to bury the light...
The light shines brightly in South Philadelphia tonight. Keep on shining...
Thanks for reading and sorry for the off topic post

Harry........Callas.........is..........still.......making.........the..........call.......on........the.........final..........out. Congratulations to the Phillies and to Philly fans!!!!
Congrats Philly! Enjoy the moment - it must be special for everyone there.
I like what Fox did last night after the Phillies clinched it. They did a position by position isolated camera shot of each Phiilie player on the field and their reaction when they saw that they won it. Even isolated manager Charlie Manuel and his reaction. That was priceless seeing all those faces react in their own way realizing they were the champs. Way to go Phillies. And way to go for the Rays, too, for the season they had. First time in the playoffs and they almost go all the way.
It's Kalas..... some Phillies fan you are....
