Well there was nothing to be proud of if your a sabres fan, (sabres in lower case because they played like little boys). I felt good for the first 7:36 seconds, it looked like the team was going to play a game but my body must have sensed something because I fell asleep.
But not to worry because MSN replays the game so I got to watch what looked like 20 Jasons slaughter what looked like Camp Crystal lake councilors in sabres sweaters. There was Buffalo blood all over the Pepsi Center in Colorado.
So how do you increase your marketable players value if you go out taking a beating like a hooker & a pimp stick?
I don't mind my team loosing as long as there's good, honest, blue collar effort but what happened in Colorado was shameful. I do think it's funny how Garth points out the sabres were out scouting the ducks and used the names John Gibson, Rickard Rackell, Devante Smith-Pelly in possible trade talk. If those names came across my phone and I was the Ducks G.M. I'd think Terry Murry was a quack.
Now if you ran the names of the stick boy, the assistant equipment manager I might listen.
If there's anything I could say to the sabres in their locker room is" put on you big boys pants and play some hockey, have some pride that you have the privilege of playing in the worlds greatest professional hockey league". I wouldn't coddle them I'd fire at them full blast.
If I played on any other team in the NHL I'd be afraid of being traded to Buffalo.
