At first, I didn’t like the pick. I thought it a reach. I wondered, were there any discussions to trade down? No doubt Rossi & Perfetti would’ve gone before him.
I think Kevin Adams missed a chance to drop two slots , gain another asset or two and then go for his man. (That would’ve been a genius move).

Then I watched some film and read his story.

I grew up a couple of blocks away from the Canadian border and every Friday a few friends and I would go skating at the old rink in Ft. Erie and piss off the Canadian fellas by picking up the women and skating away with them on top of my pop waking up at 3 a.m. on Saturday driving me up to go play in Canada So I know how they feel about the church of hockey.

Canadian standards growing up you gotta have a pond, you start skating before you can even walk. If ya don’t believe me ask Don Cherry.

This kid starts training at age 16? That’s junior year of high school!
How many of us know a kid that just envisions something in his mind at that age, grabbing the bull by the horns and skating away with the puck like that?

His trajectory reminds me of bunji  jumping when you get to bottom of the fall then all of a sudden, boing!!!!! The velocity of the spring back, straight up in the air’s amazing, as is his shot and his ability to put the puck in the net, in small spaces at any position on the ice so quickly that sometimes you don’t see his stick move but the red light and horns go off!

He’s a lethal winger and equally important character person who can take motivation and make it productive on and off the ice.
He’s going to be a leader in the locker room.

Two good moves G.M.K.A.
