Let's look around the league to some serious head scratchers this year, I'm no expert but even the experts were picking these guys to be a lot more productive, feel free to share your own or comment on mine.
Nick Backstrom- Caps- 4 points in 10 games. This kid is getting some serious sophmore jinx this year and it show because the next guy has way less than people thought he would at this point too.
Ovechkin- 5 pts in 8 games. Though not horrible, not exactly ovechkins like numbers yet.
John Toews- 6pts in 11 games. Wasn't this guy supposed to be the captain?? Maybe that's the problem!
Horcoff- 6 pts in 11 games. For a guy getting first line minutes with a better group around him you'd expect more.
Rick Nash- 7 points in 11 games won't help get this about to collapse franchise into the playoffs.
I'm not even going to temper this with the "oh it's still early" speech, these guys have to be great front to back.

I'd throw Chris Drury in the mix too. Even if the Rangers are doing well, why does this guy, making the money he makes, sit with only 5 points, and a minus 5 rating after 14 games. This on the first place overall team in the league.
Mike Fisher- 0 points in 9 games.... Oy...
There are always a bunch of guys that perform above and below expectations. So far this year, I would also include: Zdeno Chara (3 pts in 12 games, -1), Sam Gagner (2 pts in 10, even), Andrei Kostitsyn (3 pts in 8 games, 1), Erik Cole (3 pts in 11, -3), and Martin St Louis (6 pts in 10 games, 1). But there are definitely more.
