Hey if you're in a pool please, for the love of god, do not talk to me about it unless we're in it together. Do not be fooled, no one wants to hear you talk about your pool, it ranks right behind hearing your warcraft dungeon raid stories and right before your high school football stories.
Playoff predictions are impossible and annoying. I heard this morning from the puckdaddy guy saying that no one in the east is going to be upset. This is completely impossible to say!
No sooner had I thought that then I log onto TSN and see that Theodore has now been injured in practice from a Ovechkin shot. Am I saying that the caps will be upset by the Canadiens...no. I'm just saying a million things can happen in terms of injuries, sickness, goaltending, fatigue ect.
A team no one is talking about, outside their own city, is Buffalo, if a team wins on goaltending here is where I'd put my money. They have depth, a good defense and an incredible goalie, most of their players are under rated so they never seem to be a popular pick.
I think it's ridiculous that the tsn guys do their playoff draft on air, they have to get into their suits, go to make up, and sit there talking about why they pick about 5 players each. I was stunned to see it and then thought that the same guys who sit there and watch other people play poker are probably watching this squealing about why their favorite player wasn't picked.
I find it annoying that the Oilers finally won and it had meaning, they get the first pick at the draft and now we have to listen why Hall is the second coming of Gretzky. And they are picking Hall, don't be fooled by the Seguin talk, that's just for draft ratings.
This is the worst off season I can remember for being a Flames fan, literally NOTHING to look forward to. I'm going to start blogging on the UFC for the next few months I think.
i'll second the motion that this will be the worst off season for being a flames fan....
I noticed that Hall threw out the fact that he grew up rooting for Calgary. Maybe he was trying to plant a seed in the minds of Edmonton mgt that they should probably pass on him so that he could go play where his idol, Bobby Orr, played. Boston.
