Dear Mike Gillis,
First of all Mr. Gillis I would like to take deep exception to the fact you signed Burrows to an extension that clearly makes sense. As a Calgary Flames Fan I am used to other division General Managers (cough lowe cough cough) making horribly large and exorbitant signings that greatly increase our chances and this clearly goes against everything I was hoping you would do. To not only sign him but to do as at a terrific cap hit displeases me greatly and I would appreciate it if you could please refrain from such signings in the future.
The Sedin twins (it takes everything I have not to say "sisters"
have been consistent and prone to scoring well timed goals against the Flames so it is my strong advice to ignore all of their offers, whether they be 12 years or two years and let them walk. Instead rely upon your young talent like Rypien, Raymond and Bernier ect as they have not developed the necessary consistency yet to be overly annoying. Although I do not doubt they will become very annoying, when they do I would appreciate a trade for them that you get very little back for.
I can say I applaud you sir for not re-signing Ohlund, for years he has been a thorn in Jerome Iginla's side and it was a thorn that need to be excised. As Mitchell is entering his contract year you should consider moving him for picks as well, who needs him? All he does is grind away and wear down our best offensive players and is that really good for "the game" of hockey?? I know if you search deep down you will see I'm right.
Finally, Mr. Gillis, I will never talk to you again if you insist on signing Luongo!! That man has horribly greasy hair, it drips! Is that the model your captain is supposed to be? Forget that he is in my opinion the best goalie in the league, he is not what a "canuck" should be!! Please trade him out of our conference for the sake of our friendship.
