Craig Conroy, you are the latest winner on "take a seat!", a game show for players that do there very best to make an individual effort to lose a game for their team! After letting Shane Doan walk past you while you checked for dirt under your nails and after you stopped skating to let Stephan Reinprect walk in on your goalie un-checked you also win... saneopinion making fun of you on hockey buzz!! (add cheering crowd here at mention of my handle)
"Mr. Conroy, when the team had 3 minutes left what were you thinking when you high sticked Michalek affectively ruining any small chance of a comeback??"
" I was thinking how GREAT it is to have an extension I didn't deserve and that if I took the penalty...then we could go home sooner!!"
"Weren't you worried about the fans??"
"I don't have any...no one has my name on their Jersey!"
"Well that's all the time we have for you Mr. Conroy, but as an added bonus for sucking soooo much, we bought you this suit to wear...while you sit in the press box."
Flames 2 Dogs 4
Conroy- -2, 1 hit, 1 shot, 1 penalty, in 12 minutes. Thanks for being horrible.
Lol... what channel is this game show on?
We all know that Conroy is one of the good guys in hockey. However these days I'm starting to wonder if he'd be an even better guy out?
The whole team took the day off yesterday lets not all jump off the bridge yet. Hey ek why is this guy not the other flames blogger he does a great job . Keep up the great work.
He looks absolutely lost out there ...
I actually talked to him about his role he told me that he changes from game to game he never plays the same role each day That might have something to do about it. It is not easy adjusting to new rolls each game Not an excuse just an observation.
When a team loses a game it's obviously not just one guy, put conroy really hurt the flames last night. Kipper also let in a softy and Jerome was near invisible, the kids played great again but missed a couple easy ones. You could just see that conroy wasn't skating though and he's the defensive forward on the team? Give me yelle back.
The thing I noticeed about Conroy is that he is having trouble keeping the puck in front of him, and then when he looks down to find it he seems to lose it and isn't working hard enough to correct that mistake. On a side note: one of the things that bothers me a lot is the number of passes being made to people's skates as they are cuutting through the neutral zone. It is unbelievable - every game I watch I can't help but notice that the passes are just a half second behind the intended target...ohh sorry got off topic ... yea, Conroy has been bad.
no Glen, I agree in a puck possesion game the possesion part is from tape to tape passes and finding the open man, that exact reason is a huge reason the powerplay isn't more effective than it is.
The main problem is this team takes to many games off right now once they learn a game is 60 minutes we will be fine
