MY WISH LIST

Posted 1:14 AM ET | Comments 3
Being a small-time blogger has it advantages, as I can pretty much say anything I want and no one cares. I know a lot of the players, but they do not know I am a blogger and do not follow me anyway. So it is not really putting myself out by saying what I wish would happen this season. But what do I know? I am just a small-time blogger, and like I said no-one is really reading my blog.

Probably my first wish would be better refereeing; please, can someone explain to the nice Refs what a penalty is? That is a statement, not a question, or maybe it should be, because the Refs seem to have problems figuring out what is a penalty is. It seemed they were interpreting the same play differently each game. Oh wait, maybe the rules were changing each game to keep the excitement in the game. Can you tell me how this can go on? The players are so confused they have no idea what is a penalty. Players are fumbling all over each other because they are confused and are running away from the men in stripes called referees. But what do I know? I am just a small-time blogger, and like I said, no-one is really reading my blog.

My next wish is that the players could please play nice. I mean, making each other eat their sticks may not be that sportsmanlike. I am not saying no fighting, not even I am that stupid, but please just maybe try to hold off on trying to kill each other. I don’t try to be a killjoy but really, is the biting necessary? I mean really, cannibalism may have to be written in the rule book. But what do I know? I am just a small-time blogger, and like I said, no-one is really reading my blog.

My next wish would be that people please get Semyon Varlamov’s and Daymond Langkow’s names right. The poor players are beginning to get identity crises. Apparently, they were so affected that they lay in silence all season, without telling anyone. So please let’s try to bring this to end, bring them back to good health. But what do I know? I am just a small-time blogger, and like I said, no-one is really reading my blog.

My next wish would be to see Sean Avery and Dion have a boxing match. Seriously, how many of you wouldn’t want to see it? We could send all the proceeds to charity, and no-one would care who won. We could sell it for months, both players would have to sign a release form, and the insurance issues would have to be satisfied. But what do I know? I am just a small-time blogger, and like I said, no-one is really reading my blog.

There you have it. That is my wish list. It would be a wonderful life for me if all of my wishes were granted. But <sigh> the only one with a wonderful life is Jimmy Stewart (Christmas movie.) Oh yeah, but what do I know? I am just a small-time blogger, and like I said, no-one is really reading my blog.

Until next time, take care.

Well if we're wishing then I wish a Vezina for Kipper, a Hart and Conn Smyth for Iggy, a Norris for Dion and a Stanley for Calgary!
